MODA students.jpg

A student workshop with Jessamyn Hatcher, Caroline Bellios and Nika Levando.

Four University of Chicago students involved in MODA (a UChicago RSO) are participating in a mentorship program at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where they work with SAIC’s Masters of Design (MDes) graduate students on the design, theory, and concepts of fashion production. In its second iteration, this year’s program focuses on the concept of ‘salvaging’ in fashion design and construction. UChicago students will discuss salvaged garments that will be on display at the upcoming Salvage 3.1 symposium at the Univ. of Chicago in spring 2016.
